Debica Bhattacharya is our Chief People Officer. She joined Duolingo in February 2023 and previously held roles as our Head of People and Vice President, Talent Development, Total Rewards and People Operations. Prior to joining Duolingo, she was Head of People Operations and Technology at DoorDash from 2021 to 2023 and Head of People Operations at Uber from 2020 to 2021. Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership roles at Gilead Sciences and Neuberger Berman. Debica holds a B.S. in Finance and Logistics from Carnegie Mellon University.
